On September 9 Laura’s Lean Beef held a Twitter party to promote awareness for their Big Green Egg Giveaway. With LEAP’s help, the Twitter party achieved great results, with the hashtag #laurasleanbeef trending the United States.
Laura’s Lean Beef approached LEAP wanting three things: additional sweepstakes entries for their contest, increased awareness of the Laura’s Lean Beef brand, and additional Twitter followers. With this in mind LEAP developed a Twitter party script that had interaction between the brand, host, additional influencers, and Laura’s Lean Beef fans.
During the hour long party more than 500 users created 12,632 tweets using the Laura’s Lean Beef hashtag. The party generated over 40 million impressions and trended to number five in the United States against the announcement of the new iPhone.
Iaddition to the impressive numbers, the Twitter party achieved the goals that Laura’s Lean Beef had set out at the onset of planning. Their Twitter account gained 515 new followers between September 8 and September 15, with an overall increase of 36% since the beginning of the month. The Laura’s Lean Beef website received a bump in traffic, with its store search page experiencing its second largest traffic spike of the year. While the Twitter party isn’t necessarily responsible for all sweepstakes entries around the days of the party, entries were almost triple what they were the previous year.
