LEAP Enjoys Third Year of Increasing Rank on Inc. 5000

by: Emily Van Winkle in News

Inc. has ranked LEAP, a full-service interactive agency, No. 1,444 on its annual listing of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the United States. LEAP enjoyed a considerable bump in the rankings, rising 1,851 spots from its position in 2008.

Consistent growth has been the catalyst for LEAP's success. From 2005 through 2008, the interactive agency has enjoyed a revenue growth rate ten times greater than its industry benchmark. The reason behind that kind of return is rooted in LEAP's philosophy of providing performance-driven work for its clients.

"Dedication to our clients and going the extra mile for them is what enables us to achieve an honor like this," LEAP Chief Executive Officer Daniel Knapp said about the agency's placement in this year's Inc. 5000 list. "It's this kind of extra effort put in by our very driven team that has helped us stay strong during these challenging economic times."

In addition to being ranked on the Inc. 5000 list, LEAP has also been awarded a place on Business First's Fast 50 list for 3 years running, and has been recognized as a member of Louisville's High Impact companies each year since the program's inception.

This marks the third year for Inc.'s annual list. The 5000 list is the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy - America's independent-minded entrepreneurs. It offers a unique report card on the U.S. economy, revealing that despite the recession, the private, fast-growing companies on the list have continued to have an impact on the economy.

"Savvy trend spotters and those who invest in private companies," said Inc. 5000 project manager Jim Melloan, "know that the Inc. 5000 is the best place to find out about young companies that are achieving success through a wide variety of unprecedented business models as well as older private companies that are still expanding at an impressive rate."

The Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2005 through 2008. To qualify, companies must be able to show four full calendar years of sales, be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent - not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies.
