LOUISVILLE, KY. – Dec. 9, 2010 – Alan Gilleo, the chief creative + experience officer for LEAP a full-service digital agency, was invited by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) to judge the W3 and Davey Awards. The online judging took place in September and October 2010, during which Gilleo helped determine the top marketing campaigns in the world.
Gilleo critiqued the marketing campaigns for visual appeal, typography, design principles, use of color and space, messaging, ease of use and if the campaign met the marketing objective.
“Judging the W3 and Davey Awards I critique hundreds, if not thousands, of marketing campaigns each year. It is an honor to be a part of this elite group, but I also enjoy looking at all of the different ways campaigns are executed,” said Gilleo. “Our specialty at LEAP is delivering a product that is not only visually appealing, but also has hard data supporting each piece of the project to ensure the marketing objective is achieved – and this is something I focus on when judging the campaigns.”
The IAVA is an invitation-only organization of top-of-the-line visual arts professionals who are dedicated to the progress and evolvement of traditional and interactive media.
“It’s fun to see a lot of different work. I like seeing the creative aspects and what ideas people have and how they apply it to their work. It’s inspiring,” said Gilleo.
