When Senior Art Director, Brad Geiger, first introduced the idea of hosting a BeHance Portfolio Review at our Cincinnati office, we looked at him like he was crazy… crazy awesome.
It was a perfect opportunity to introduce the LEAP Creative team to the Cincinnati market, and interact with some young, up-and-coming creative talent.
The Behance Portfolio Review was created to foster feedback exchange in the creative community, and help develop an offline program so members could meet in real life. Attendees heard from Senior Writer, Nathan Dye, and Brad Geiger, two leading creative’s in the area, about their career experience and advice. During a 20-minute presentation the two senior staffers shed light onto applying for a job, getting a job and ultimately keeping and excelling in that position. Their insight comes from a combined 25 years of experience.
Following the presentation, attending creatives received focused attention from each member of LEAP’s creative team. Alan Gilleo, Alex Lockwood, Brad Geiger, Cameron Kalegi, Keith Adams, Jeremy Reiss, Leo Gomez, Stacy Foster and Taylor Carter were all ears (and eyes), providing valuable critique to each attendee.
After the review, attendees were invited to mingle with the LEAP staff and other guests at our Cincinnati headquarters, located at 31st East 12th, 3 East. With food provided by Bad Girl Ventures Graduates C’est Cheese and The Spicy Olive, guests spent the rest of the night continuing conversations about their work, and maybe a few ping-pong matches.
