Match.com is 20 years old. Hard to believe, but true. After 20 years of making matches, Match.com has made the claim that they are responsible for 1 million babies. They have created a "MatchMade" scholarship fund to give one of these MatchMade children a $50,000 scholarship (and $5,000 getaway for the parents too!). Each contestant is asked to create a 1-2 minute video explaining how their parents met while attempting to pull at the heartstrings of the selection committee.
Why do we love this campaign? Match.com will post their top 10 videos as a part of a social media voting process. This is not only a great way to showcase the success of a long running company, but it encourages shares, likes and participation from the masses. The MatchMade.com website has a Twitter feed and it appears that they have already partnered with multiple bloggers for promotion. This is a great move by Match to make this as fruitful of a campaign as possible.
