The Children’s Museum and Disney Junior teamed up to create “Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit,” based on the Disney Junior animated TV show, Doc McStuffins. In the show, the main character, Doc, and her team fix broken toys in her backyard, playhouse clinic. As a key component of the show, Doc relies on The “Big Book of Boo Boos” to diagnose toys’ illnesses.
In this fun and imaginative exhibit, children, or “doctors-in-training” as they pretend to be when they're touring the exhibit, could help Doc McStuffins at the McStuffins Toy Hospital E.R., Pet Vet and Nursery learn the daily duties of being a doctor. Throughout the exhibit, they also learn more about healthy habits, empathy and nurturing care.
The project started by gathering experts from disciplines including branding, digital design and animation, user experience, and programming. We jumped in – you could say “LEAPed in” – to add excitement and engagement to an idea provided by Disney and the Children’s Museum.
